HISTORY
History of
the AADITYA
AADITYA is a consortium of like minded professionals, mainly
from educational and social working environments, working together as CATALYST
for Community Empowerment. It is a not for profit social educational and research
organisation, started in 1997. An Association for Development of Indian Traditions
Youth & Arts, (AADITYA), Faridabad is a registered society under section 21
A of Indian Societies Act, 1956 with its Registered Office at 1E/21 B.P. NIT Faridabad-121001
and Administrative Office is based at 8/7 Nehru Enclave Kalkaji Extn. New Delhi.
The Beginning :
The idea starts with the concept of vocational
educational reform. In 1997 the founder chairman GopiKrishan Bali and leaders
of IT-Campus & Creative Art Campus, few educationalist and professionals from
different fields of Art & Crafts, while working for the social projects, advocating
a 'changed world'. By the early months of 1997 many different proposals were being
mooted. Mr. GopiKrishan from IT, Ms. Sonia from Creative Arts, Ms. Geeta &
Gauri from Painting & Printing institution along with professionals from other
parts of society started giving shape to the idea for a 'community concept' based
system which would combine knowledge with creative skills sets and provide progression
to conventional university courses - to a genuinely 'Education at Affordable cost'
concept. The need was to develop and deliver self-sustainable vocational education
to school passouts, specially girls with average logical, but a creative mind.
A
response to the needs :
The AADITYA is a response for filling the gap
of good professional institute keeping in mind the financial strength of middle
income urban group, and rural members. Lot many private institutes are operating
in India, with clear motto of extracting money in the process of education. The
AADITYA and the social committee of ACE Foundation were then discussing plans
for a 'predefined self-certification for easy entry to industries. The proposed
outcome was creation of IT-CAMPUS, for Information Technology courses and Creative
Art Campus for Creative Vocational courses like Fashion, Textile Design and short
term courses for Learning Skills of Painting and Printing (Hobby Courses) The
model so created was simple, but effective.
Nine years later, AADITYA
is a critical vehicle for social and spiritual Empowerment. AADITYA has helped
people start or evolve as a way out of problems of life, affecting the lives of
thousands of people. The main difference is that, during the process, we thoroughly
enjoyed, creation of a 'Empowered Community', not a dependent group of
people.
